Need some input please. Now that im not going to be hitting many dirt roads next year i need to re-think what bike to get. Ill have to sell the KLR when i leave
From what i can imagine it will be mostly done on tar with a bit of dirt. But i wanna ride dirt when i see it. The bike also has to be a long term investment. Commuting to work now and then. Riding around town and of course touring.
2 bikes im thinking of is the BMW1200GS and the KTM 990.
My boet said its cheaper if i buy the bike in Germany - Euro's - than what it would be in the UK - pounds. But so far this morning my research shows buying a bike in the UK is about R10000 cheaper than in Germany. I might be hitting the wrong web sites or he is full of shit
I think the best way to get prices is mailing a few bike shops and asking for prices.
This is where i need help, pimping the bike.
Please add what i miss on the list. The list applies to any bike i suppose.
1. Panniers, top box and mounting frame.
2. Crash bars
3. Bash plate
4. Heated grips ;D oohh we gonna need these.
Please add your comments as to what i can have fitted from the shops.
