My old man seems to have started his mid-life crisis - thinking of getting a bike again after 40 odd years...
But since he's thinking of bikes and not Cabriolets, Harleys etc, I thought I'll help him along on the good path.
He was at Cayenne in Kyalami recently and mentioned the Trans Alp, and asked what I knew about it (since I had an Africa Twin). Now all I know is from the 1 ride I had on one, and to be brutally honest I wasn't to impressed (but my riding experience et the time was fairly limited). I don't want to tell him that though, so I thought maybe the owners of these bikes here on the forum can point me to some insightfull and honest information regarding the Trans Alp, e.g. 650 or 700 better, known issues with them, cost of ownership shite etc.
Thanks, any help is appreciated.
