I know i had about the same post a while ago....
I just can't believe the fuel economy figures i'm getting with my KLR...
When i got the bike i got between 14 - 21 km/l...
As some of you may know i fitted an Eagle Mike Doo, which made the engine much smoother. I also did the airbox mod and fitted the Penta pipe.
Since my trip began a week ago i constantly monitored the fuel consumption of the bike.
On the open road at 120 - 130km/h i'm getting 21km/l thats with a fully loaded bike, in April i got 15km/l.
On the 9 passes in 9 hours ride i got 25km/l and on the Hell trip i got 23km/l....
Unbelievable, luckily Generaal observed all the fuel fillups so i'm not talking nonsense here.
Haha Generaal usually use double the amount of fuel i use with his Varadero on the same trips doing the same speeds.... Unbelievable... :
