My Honda Varadero XL1000V needs brake pads... all round. I got a comment that when I replace the pads, I should replace the discs too. That sounds like hogwash to me, since I have not changed my car brake discs with every pad change, so will not change the discs with this pad change.
This should be an easy job, so I will do it myself... any tips for somebody that have not done bike brakes before? Have done a few cars'.
Then... which pads and from whom? Now I know that pads are pads... but you get good pads and better pads. Which ones will give me good distance, but also good braking ability when needed. The grip does not have to be such that the wheels lock every time you touch the lever.
