Varadero no spark

Hi,

I am trying to help a friend out with his varadero. There is no spark. everything else works and the bike is in great shape.

Just replaced the battery.

I suspect an issue with the HISS (Honda Ignition Security System) when I turn the key, there is no fuel pump priming noise.

Can any varadero owners tell me if it is supposed to make the priming noise? If this is my issue can only Honda resolve it for me?
