I own a Cr450X and I realy want a dual purpose and dont want to be disapointed. The only problem is that everyone I talk to has a different opinion. I have spoken too KTM 990 riders they say awsome bike a bit on the heavy side but lots of power. The KTM 640 seems popular, vibrates a bit, is no longer available, but is still a KTM and they cost too much to maintain. The XT 660 extreme version available from SHIMWELLS is attracting my attention at the moment but I am scared that it is going to be under powered and not handle the rough stuff well. Lastly there is good old faithfull the KLR 640 I have ridden EDGY'S one it does the job but I know I will get bored eventually.
Coming from a MX and enduro backround I tend to enjoy the tight stuff but I also like to push it, if the road opens up in front of me.
