Phoning around and searching the web I got answers varying from 1l to 1.8litres.
So I began with 1.6 litres, but then it pushes out oil from the breather. I reduced it by sucking out small quantities of oil with a 'medical injecter',and then riding it, and it seems to be fine now around 1.2 litres - halfway between marks when cold!
(I drained it thouroughly, replacing the oil filter and cleaning the left side oil screen below the gearlever. Didn't remove the clutch cover to clean the other oil screen.)
