After reading the threads on shocks in this forum and due to the fact that my 1150gs was bottoming out badly on the original shocks after 135000 km's I ordered front and rear 1150gsa shocks from Denver at Bling King.
This has probably been the best upgrade I have ever done.
I have just returned from a trip covering Sutherland ,Fraserburg ,loxton,Graaf Reinet.Baviaans,Swartberg and the extra clearance and stability of the bike was amazing.
Cost- R12500 for both delivered in Cape Town.
Installation about one hour by myself.
In the process I learnt that shocks have a service life not exceeding 50000km,in fact Wilbers recommends servicing at 25000km intervals.
The only other mod needed is to extend the side stand by 20mm.
