Get yourself up to Hogsback Village to explore some of the awesome passes in that region. The Wolf River Pass is easily the pick of the ten odd passes available and it covers a long distance of 27 km. Of those 27 km, 20 are downhill and its gravel travel all the way.
The terrain is breath-taking with long stretches of indigenous forests, waterfalls, plantations, open grasslands, a tribal village and a flattish section along the Wolf River, ending at the lovely Sandile dam.
This one is an off-road bike riders dream and not too technical in good weather either. The pass is in a high rainfall area and mud is a highly likely scenario.
