In an extremely aggressive salt-corrosive environment test against 3 other brands, Herschell Multi-Purpose Spray lasted 88 hours the next closest was 72 hours.
(The test was conducted independently by Lubrizol)
The other two brand lasted less than 16 hours, yet claim to be rust inhibiting.
Additionally the Multi-purpose spray DOES NOT contain Chlorocarbons which are carcinogenic and soil pollutants.
Make sure that the cleaning fluid/rust inhibitor that you are using on your firearms is in fact rust inhibiting.
