Stopped on a steep hill, wondered why the rear brake wouldn’t hold the bike.
Looked down and found the rear brake caliper hanging next to the bike.
Removed everything so I could ride the bike the 50 km home.
Used zip ties to hold the remaining piece of the caliper holder in place , this to keep the rear wheel properly aligned on the axle.
Is this a common failure On these bikes?
Options to repair?
Another new one from Honda?
Unit off a XR650L?
Billet disc protector with integrated caliper mount ( like an EE unit on a modern KTM)
