I've got an 1980 XT500G. Do you guys think that with the right amount of care it is possible to service my fork set (replace oil) myself. Read the section on them in the service manual ( i don't have a torque wrench but apart from that is it something one of you guys have done?)
How much travel do you have on yours (those who have obviously) i have a ton . Service manual says to replace oil every 6000km , seems excessive but i've never had mine done ... had it 13 years.
Any thoughts.
One other thing .... what could cause my indicators to flikker only with higher revs ... they don't want to when the bike is idling. Electrics seem fine ... no popping of globes all lights work fine apart from this issue
