XT 660R changes/upgrades getting used to oil use or no use or disappearing oil

Was after the Tenere660 but just out of reach and seemingly getting further and been watching the R's and this good one came up at Helderberg Yamaha. Fifty thousand km well maintained at Yamaha and pretty well looked after so we jumped at it. Got the bike saturday and did the Darling service road run on sunday in pouring rain. Love the bike- ploughed 3 times  and running out of talent  and the Michelin anakees were to blame not the XT. As always need to change a few things. The tyres can go to the GS 800 which is needing a set now.
Raise handle bars
gearlever and  footpegs
Bigger bash plate maybe crashbars - that water pump just looks like something waiting to get broken
To much exhaust pipes in the back and a bit to quiet
Rear carrier frame

Any pointers or goodies for sale- whos selling what please. Send pics of  yours as well

The oil level checking is driving me batty--check when cold- anything from little to no oil-(almost like the old Tenere 600) add a cup 2 or 350 mill all good, Ride a bit check when warm-sometimes oil level fine the next thing after a 30km ride- oil is overfull. Drain about 250ml oil level ok and a bit ride 35km - check immediately-just below min mark- what the F. It does not leak, no smoke .... the older Xt 600's method is only to check when ridden 5km.
