Bike had a major(40 000km) servise earlier in the year and now the 50 000km one, with a oil and filter change inbetween. Other maintenance cost was steeringhead bearings, swingarm service and chainslider, chain and sprockets, cush rubbers, tyres, etc. Also upgraded front suspension.
Total for the year about R11 000.00. Expensive bike :eek7: I ride a lot and a lot of it is off-road.
The bike gets done at George Yamaha and this post is in no way a slight on them. Emile does an excellent job on my bike and Hendri is very kind to me when it comes to costing. :thumleft:
I'm just interested to know what maintence costs you other guys are running at... 15 000 - 25 000km per year, or two services per year.
To put it in perspective, my wife does about the same kilo's in a year with her Subaru, at half the cost
