Hey all. I'm wanting to document the progress of this recent purchase of mine from large paperweight to fun cycle.
Let me say here that the intention is not to do a complete restore, neither is it to do a radical custom, but if I fix / replace something, I want to try improve on what was there before. At the end just have a cool bike that can be "Ridden".
I bought this the other day for under R3k. With papers. I think the guy that owned it had a recent get-off and now wanted it gone. The bike started, but the clutch lever and front brake lever were broken off. There were also other scratch marks that suggested a recent meeting with the road.
The rear wheel was flat. Looking at it, it had a few big buckles in it, which I assumed to be part of the get-off.
What i didn't realise was how bad the front wheel bearings were. Finished. And stuffing the front hub.
So. Any suggestions as to where to source a set of wheels?
