For commuting on my XR I wear earplugs cos the wind noise at speed is crazy loud, however the bike does not have a rev counter and I often cannot hear the motor purr and worry that I might be pushing her a tad hard. So last night I removed the baffle from the FMF pipe on her. What joy ... and noise. :
This morning, on 14th Ave, I stopped at a red traffic light next to a swanky Merc. The twatwaffle driver had his phone to his ear and was merrily chatting away. I revved the bike and held the throttle at a decent decibel level whilst watching Mr Larney struggle with his conversation. Eventually, after screaming at his phone, he threw it down and gave me the finger.
