Hi there!

On the way to work two days ago the speedo all of a sudden stopped working.

So I suspected the cable.
Last night I took the cluster apart and got to the cable - intact.

Then I undid that connection at the bottom on the wheel/hub mechanism.

There's a little 'blade' that fits into the speedo cable - I found something that I think is curious:

It turns when you turn the wheel, but as soon as there's the slightest resistance on the blade it stops turning.

The weird thing is that never mind how much resistance I put on it, it keeps on turning when I turn the wheel backwards.

So the cable turns perfectly when the front wheel is turning in the wrong direction, but it doesn't work when its going forward.

Is there anything in there that I can check/service/vroetel before I ask the official BM guys about this ?
