In preparation for a 6000km Zim, Botswana, Namibia trip I considered handle bar raisers - we might be hitting dirt - but I wasn't prepared to pay the steep prices.
Trac Mac has a generic set for R380 but couldn't say whether it would fit on a F800GS or not. I bought the slim set (there's a fatter one as well for R420) nonetheless and - WALLA! it fits perfectly!
Installation took 5 minutes. The handle bars are now raised with 30mm.
Benefits? A more relaxed riding position - I am 2m tall and don't have wind up my sleeve any more. Will have to see how it improves standing, but I don't have to fold double to hold the handle bars any more
