Thanks for your replies, guys At this point my investigation is more general (as apposed to a trip-specific-plan with details of dates and entry/exit points) - really just wanting to learn about which areas (and routes/roads) are suitable for big adventure bikes at an intermediate riding/skills...

Thanks for the info guys - will keep following this thread. Also looking at doing a Lesotho trip in April/May with big bikes - hoping to find a few easier routes suitable for bigger/heavier bikes.

Ja, looks like us BMW-guys are gonna be stuck with Garmin for a while still.  Anyway, we'll make it work for our purposes. I wanted to ask:  are there any Garmin (Nav6) forums you can recommend..?  I've been trawling the net, but there doesn't seem to be much of a community.
