At 80,0K I took Jugheads advise and replaced with a new unit prior to a trip to Namibia. Getting stuck in the Caprivi with a wasted shaft was not my idea of fun.

I would not consider the 750 or 850 at this point, Wait 2 or 3 years for the bugbears to be ironed out.

My wife rode a 650 single until she rode a 700 and that was it, Fitted hand guards, Givi screen, bashplate and a comfort seat, is a must. 900 + kms per day not a problem.  It is very economical, cruises well. And I use it in preference to the 1200, becoming too heavy for me.. 

The seals could have hardened with virtually no use, watch for oil leaks.

Please tell me why you neversee a grin on the face of a Harley rider, is it because of the pain experience or the image? :peepwall:

I have used the 360 Trek 2 for a number of years, light, water proof and fits into the standard 1200 GS panier. also uses the aluminum poles.
