Grizz, there is a way to work out your ''stretch' in the pipe, ask any sparky who did steel tubing and wiring (me being one but can't remember....) measure the bender radius blah blah blah:cool:
One thing he mentioned that I never knew it that you can dilute resin with upto 25% acetone - ideally if you want something like wood to soak it up.
i forgot to mention this :P makes the wood pretty much into plasitc :thumleft:
having repaired a few boats transoms in my time i would seriously recommend using marine ply, it has the waterproof bonding which is what you need otherwise it will just delaminate in a short time frame, sandwich it between the aluminium using the equivalent of ABE 372 epoxy and where it ties...
time to dig out my old KDX 200 and do this again...13th in class in 1986 :deal:
oh wait....i am a bit fatter than then :imaposer: :imaposer: :imaposer:
i have to do this ride and sleep next to the old fart to piss him off with my snoring.. :imaposer: :imaposer: i leave for a month in botswana on the 15th so anytime after that is a balls up for me :dousing:
