Do you mean timing chain tensioner? That was also replaced so should be good.It was as good as can be for a 125 haha and it has been the past 1k km till now.

Correct. Every bit of power i have is the difference between an enjoyable ride and a kak one lol I suspect air filter is dirty as i realized now i had idle issues afew days back where it would stall sometimes on a warm engine so it could relate to air filter too if im not mistaken

Oh wow i didnt know that tyres could do that haha.I bought it second hand and have done 5k kms so far without checking or cleaning the carb :/ I just googled it and looks like an easy job so il try get to that this week and report back.More cc is certainly needed though :)

Hi ,So its hard to write it down exactly as its a strange thing that i am trying to word but around 1k kms ago i got a new top end installed and all was fine.I just did a new oil change afew days ago and since the super windy days i cannot accelerate past 80-85km without my bike basically...

Greetings. Does anyone know where in the western cape ,specifically Southern suburbs, I could go and get basics like oil/ air filters etc for a honda xr 125? I am also looking for parts like a pair of handguards and front fork protectors but alot of the ONLINE sites look sketch.

No im not when checking but i think it being halfway is actually correct,for some reason i assumed it needed to be at the max.

I think you are right,i dont know why in my mind i assumed it needed to closer to the max mark than not.

Okay so i went for a drive and then sat on the bike with engine off for around 3 minutes and then checked while upright and its now shows around 2/4ths to the upper mark im still wondering why it isnt showing the top mark as it was filled to the recommended amount.

I placed on side stand when pouring in the new oil if that makes any difference but when i check the dipstick its always after a ride and warmed up and i Centre the bike first.

Im not sure if this is the right place to post so apologies if its not but recently ive done my first ever oil change on my Honda xr 125 and its recommended is 1L but ive been told its actually 900ml.So i drained the previous out,poured in 900ml and got no reading on dipstick,then i poured 50ml...
