There is very cheap, safe but somewaht basic camping at the dam. there is one very good pub in town, its on the Main road going past town. There is a bottle store in town as well as the ability to buy basic supplies. Lots of very reasonably priced accom around the areas. I will dig up some...

Cuito and area are sometimes a little hostile to us Saffas, especially age groups 50 - 60. Given our past, i am not too surprised, but just a heads up, Not reason enough to not go, but the reception is a little colder the further into the Hot areas you go.

You can ride Angola, its just the beach area and Iona park that are going to be off limits. There is still a million reasons to go and ride there even with these restrictions in place.

Longbob are you willing to share the route please? Esp the way you went from Mourusi to Rhodes?
