My buddy is selling his R80 PD. It's in mint condition, I can vouch for it. (for what it's worth on the internet and being a newbie on this forum..) ;D
He has been the only owner and being a pedantic German specialist, you can rest assured his bike was looked after better...
Last but not least, a tool bag had to be made in the colour scheme of the bike. All tools and spares were individually selected to ensure a complete and comprehensive set. Tools were wrapped in heat shrink to stop jingling on corrugated roads... and chaffing within the bag.

A new seat was made with a little more sponge than the standard seat. Narrowed at the front for extra comfort whilst standing, and a slightly larger seat whilst sitting.
Sponge was wrapped in plastic and a non slip grey cover in the event that water is splashed onto the seat.

A steel luggage rack was ordered to replace the BMW aluminium one. In hindsight I do not think it was necessary as I do not have a top box. The part was brought in from Italy and required more time to modify to make it fit, than expected. The factory one fitted 100%, the new one was a nightmare...
To handle the stresses of bad roads and a packed bike, the frame needed to be modified. The rear section of the rear frame is not strong enough for touring.
Then it was time to select a new colour scheme for the bike and send to the powder coaters.
