Did a ride in the Vredefort Dome. Hard hit on a low water bridge. No visible damage until I got home. Top two mounts of the rear wheel hugger broke off! Was planning on removing it anyway😁. I did over R100k km on my previous GS without the hugger.
I have been thinking about having polyurethane Rhino lining sprayed on the top of my panniers to prevent scuffing from boots and bags i tie down onto the panniers for long trips.
This would seem to be extremely durable but I am not sure it will pass the aesthetics test.

Jabo fitted a Toolbox to the pannier bracket and moved the number plate to the right. Now I will have tools on hand when riding without panniers. Lesotho here we come!
