I sent the offending selector shaft of to @Jughead in PE at Dual Sport Motorcycle Clinic. He straightened the catchplate and welded it all back together. I also got a set of bearings and oil seals for the box from him. Re-assembled the box and all back together. Took the "Vet Tannie" out for...

As in the attached clip: The bushing and shaft are keyed together by the roll pin, but the arm can rotate independently from the bushing. In my mind the arm and the bushing should be bonded together in some way. I would be happy to take the part you have off your hands . . . Please PM me price...

The story so far ... As I split the case, this spring was came loose, but very possible that it came undone as a result of splitting the case. This shaft can rotate freely without engaging the arm and guide plate, I assume they are supposed to move as a unit. This in turn has caused the coil...

@Welsh, @Jughead, At 50kkm, would you replace the clutch by default or does it depend on condition? Are there specified wear specs?

You are more than welcome to make a public offer on this fred, that way the other dogs would be able to see what a split sale would look like. For example:  Nismark offers R10 000 ( :o) for the tank, so the bike with stock tank goes for R35000
