Hi I have a question as a new bike owner.
I bought a 2007 KLE 500 with non existent brakes and need to replace the discs.
In my search for parts I found a bunch on ebay that list the KLR650 as compatible with the KLE 500 discs >>> Front+Rear Rotors+Brake Pads for Kawasaki KL650B Tengai (89-92) KLE500 A/B 91-07
I just wanted to ask if any one has any experience with this as the thickness of the standard KLE disk is 5 mm and the ones listed are 4mm and according to the service manual the
As per the manual it should be replaced at 4.5mm
Replace the disc [A] if it has worn past the service limit.
Disc Thickness
Standard:4.8 ∼ 5.1 mm (0.19 ∼ 0.20 in.)
Service Limit:4.5 mm (0.18 in.)
Does that 1mm mater? and can the KLR650 discs be used as a replacement?
