Rear brake light switch

Hi Guys, I'm busy troubleshooting some electrical issues on my bike's rear lights. If you take the brake light switch, should you be getting a closed loop when you pull the switch? In other words, should I be getting a beep from the multimeter when measuring on the blue circle in the picture?
