Hi,
I am looking at buying a GS1200 Adventure. I am looking at 2 bikes that fall in my budget.
2006 R1200 GS Adventure and a 2008 R1200 GS Adventure.
The 2006 model has a servo motor that assists the brakes, The 2008 doesnt have this. The 2006 also has the ring on the front wheel for the ABS, the 2008 Model doesnt have the ring, not sure if its supposed to have it or if BMW changed the way the ABS works..
The 2006 has 60 000 km on, the 2008 has 115 000km, but BMW in Centurion redid the motor on 100 000km, The invoices are there to prove that it was done.
Apart from that they are both in very good condition. Drives very well and both were well looked after.
Any advice on which one to go for or rather stay away from?
