Today I decided to do some routine maintenance on my 2M Lazy Loader trailer.
I wanted to take off the wheel and bearing cap to service the bearing.
Starting off with great enthusiasm, I came to realise one critical problem – you cannot remove a wheel without having a jack!
Most trailers are like this, but nobody tells you to take along a jack and hire trailers certainly don’t provide a jack either !
The Lazy loader works like a dream for both loading and transporting your motorcycle with minimum fuss – even on your own.
I have done thousands of kilometres towing one without having a jack for it.
Luckily, I have not had a puncture, or I would have discovered this critical problem at the side of some busy road miles away from nowhere.
The winch on the LazyLoader is effective, but it merely controls the movement of the long lever frame attached to the suspension.
The moment the load bed grounds on something, the wheels stop lifting.
The long lever frame and the winch are of no use to you for getting a flat tyre off the ground.
Aside from carrying a jack, has anyone found a solution to this yet…?
