Each to their own, maar ek like ligter bikes want meer fun en minder drama as mens alleen jou bike moet recover

A 46 year old bike?
Lots have happened in 37 years. So many advances in design and technology, and just making things better. I am not sure that a 40 year old design is still better than a 2024 design?

Also, anything over 10 years old you have to start hunting for spares....

Except if it's a Yamaha, because old is new and new is old.

Design once, produce indefinitely

^^ nothing wrong with that btw, I'm a happy owner of a 1981 Yamaha XV

Baie
Rally is 20 kw
Die ou bike 34

Not too shabby......12 kg meer maar darem ook 14kw meer.

Nee ek se NIE die ou ding is beter as n Rally nie. .....Maar ja, gooi maar net bietjie syfertjies

The new bike has no screen?

At the speeds she travels it is not needed, and they break anyway at some stage.
A screen makes it difficult to see the gnarly stuff. Only benefit of a screen is to protect your gps...

Brandstofverbruik sal defnitief meer wees op die 600... Dit help nie veel vir reikafstand nie. Wat sê jou sompompie Petri?

Agreed but remember everything on this bike is basically brand new in terms of the rebuild..

I am keen to see the next episode detailing the refresh of the bike.

Besides the motor and electricals I am sure they have also reworked the suspension on the bike.
