I had tondo a project close to Vaalwater along the Rankins pass road.
I Was dodging some clouds all day.
The Waterberg lives up to its name with water flowing in many areas.
Was also lucky to see a Roan along one of the game farms

I just love De Tweedespruit for a get out of town quicky. Best of all, there is a Bialetti coffee shop slap bang in the middle of the road. How cool is that.

Another solo ride decided upon practically as I went to bed on Sat. night. Out almost at first light, and running the gauntlet with rain predicted at around 8am. Around Bottlierskop and Friemersheim. Got home at 7.30 am and 15 minutes later the delightful smell of petrichor with the drizzle starting....then it rained the whole day. Perfect timing.

you talk like that....yesterday morning when I left for my ride, on the way out of town I noticed SO many cars/bakkies/etc on the other side of the road, then only realised, it's all the vaal-pense en route to the pass, the way out. Each 'convoy' was ; GP ; GP ; MP ; CAW ; GP ; GP and and and...
Sadly people do not flush their engines before they come to the coast. On the river bordering my property they spray yearly on the hyacinth to try and kill it.

Is it even possible to pollute Harties any more than it already is?
I remember reading an article on research done through Tukkies & Wits in Farmers Weekly years ago about the terrible state of the dam, and it's doubtful things have improved
