I also have it that the camshaft is different. I chose the 650 because I commute with it 95% of the time. It does do gravel quite well, just problematic in the ground clearance department. P.S. Have a look at the power graphs of the 650 and 800, and you will notice that the 650 has more torque...

Hi Geriatrix. There is a known issue on some pumps in extreme heat conditions with a less than full tank. I am on my second 650 twin, and both had their fuel level sensors replaced free of charge. Maybe give your local dealer a call and have them check the vin number to see if all service...
