    My helmet smells funky!

A good trick that I learnt elsewhere on the forum, years ago is to wash the helmet inners with your own shampoo - that way you know that you wont have any bad soap reactions. I just take them into the shower once every few weeks.

Because you think that 'Cheesey' is more descriptive or insulting than 'Dirt Skunk'

    Heat shields for 1190R

Not an optical illusion - the heat shield that I bought incorporates a frame protector (probably how they get around Wings saying that they ripped off their product). The Wings exhaust shield logo that you see is stock (indentation). They also give you a bunch of stickers that you can add if...

    Sure is quiet....

With MX boots, get used to shifting up with the edge of you heel - don't try to adjust to comfortably get a big boot between the peg and the shifter.

800GSA with a jumping rev count needle and cuts out

Agree with XC - make enough noise at the dealership. Focus on the cut outs and the danger associated with them - they need to fix this because a failure at the wrong time, after you reported it can put BMW in a lot of hot water. Talk to the DP and if you don't get joy, insist on talking to the...

What's left after stripped 2006 BMW 1200 GS

Valid observation, but you need to consider that time and effort spent stripping the bike, cleaning, shipping, pestering for money, etc and then you sit with parts that don't sell quickly cluttering up your workspace for months.  I went through this process with my 800GS - and it was worth it...

    Zero S review on Wheels24

160 000kms or 5 years during which it won't degrade more than 20% - I can live with that. "What Is Not Covered By This Limited Warranty? Due to the battery chemistry, there is a normal, expected reduction in range/capacity that Power Packs can yield over time and usage. Depending on use and...

800GSA with a jumping rev count needle and cuts out

There is not actually a lot that they can recalibrate that would make a difference. They can recalibrate the idle actuator (should not be your problem), the throttle (remote possibility - more likely if you give throttle when you start the bike - if so, don't - press the start button and let if...

    Headlamp melting

Just remember that officially you cannot replace the reflector - you replace the whole headlight. Also careful cleaning the reflector - the reflective coating rubs with no effort.

    Headlamp melting

Word has it that this is the real issue behind the melting headlights problem.

    Headlamp melting

I only ever used the BMW headlight protector and that has standoffs that keep it a good inch away from the lens.
