Referring to myself Donald, what you reckon? If I get a 250, I'm worried I will want a bit more and want a 300 then. So jumping strait to  300 sounds like the sensible thing to do.

Thans Buff, I have never favoured the 4 strokes, and the sound of a 300 2 stroke sounds fantastic! So that is probably the option I will go for, either that or the 250 2 stroke.

Would prefer '10 upwards or a non-raced '09. Are the Gas Gas's good on reliability and reasonable on parts? Saw a 2011 300 Gas Gas on Gomboom for 44k. Is that a good deal?

I have never ridden a 300, but am looking for one to buy and race. Otherwise the 690 has to be raced if I don't find one  :-\ Anybody know of any being sold by any dogs, please let me know. Budget around 40k. Also, anybody had any good/ad experince with the husky/gas gas/beta?
