12 October. Down to the coast for the weekend at Blombos near vermaaklikheid. I tried to stick to the dirt roads once I got to Robertson.

21 September. Oasis for breakfast, then Katbakkies and Peerboompas with a friend of mine on his 800GS, sadly on the same day that some dickhead tried to burn down the farm stall  >:(

September. Porterville and Pikketberg with Adv. Nice ride, Steve still had the XRR then. I dropped my DRZ in front of a BMW rider at the gas station in Piketberg though  :-[

Sorry for never posting anything here. I'll make up with this condensed version of the riding I did this summer: Matroosberg near Ceres. One or two days before official spring 2014, and my first proper ride after my accident in May.

so The canoe guy: paid 30% instead of 50, and then another 30% a bit too late, but he tried to make payment and he tried to communicate. the klr guy on the other hand: Insulted his client, in person and insulted his country, was uncommunicative, and then illegally stripped his bike and sold...

Whoever is right or wrong here, this is not the way to treat a customer, visitor to the country, or anybody for that matter. Secondly, If you sell somebodys bike without registration papers or following any procedure, what do you call it, if not theft?

Im still looking for one of these headlights for my DRZ. Preferably a good used one, but I'll strongly consider buying a new one if its available locally.

My friend is interested in a bike and asked me to ask around if its a good deal. I don't know these bikes, I thought the mileage was getting a bit high, 2009 stock Yamaha XT660R with 40 000Km in very good condition for R45 000. Any replies will be appreciated.

how long do the engines last then?...I really hoped for much more than 25 000km's. Mine got 20 000 on now, still going strong...touch wood.

Thanks, so if i leave my bike standing for 45min with the gps plugged in, it won't be a big deal. I want my GPS to generate a .gpx file, while I walk around to take photographs. Later when I'm back at my computer, the software can use the .gpx to geotag my images. I currently use a cellphone...

where did you get the red grips?
