    Then: e-07, Now: Karoo3 - anyone?

I'll be fitting new tyres later this morning and am keen to try the Karoo 3's on my GSA. I've previously run e-07's on my S10 and they are great tyres! So I'm not wanting to start a debate about which tyre is better - they're probably both good! But I am keen to get rider experience from...

SOLD - Tourance EXP from a GSA

They will be available today. Off to Justbiketyre a lite later. Been oscillating between e-03's and K3's!  Had e-03's in the past and great tyres. Like the look of the k3's though and keen to give them a try. Seem to be getting good reviews. EXP's are yours for R1800 if you want them. WB

SOLD - Tourance EXP from a GSA

It's the last year of the oil/air cooled Adventures - you're right, the water-cooled Adventure is only out next year some time.  I'll post a pic of me and my big smile once I get it... ;D

SOLD - Tourance EXP from a GSA

Hi, I'm taking delivery tomorrow of my new 2013 GSA (woohoo!!  ;D) and it comes with a set of Mettzeler Tourance EXP's.  I desperately want a set of Karoo 3's, but can't afford to throw a way a new set of tyres.  Wondering whether there's a market for a set of these?  I know they go for around...

The official Yamaha Super Tenere thread

Uppington and Augrabies areas were REDICULOUSLY hot, must have been around 40, but not sure exactly.  Got to Augrabies around 4pm and sat in pool with beer till 7...  Was pretty ok once I hit the coast again.

Do aftermarket slip-on pipes actualy make a difference?

I put my stock S10 pipe back on a few months ago, because I got bored, but after 2 weeks decided I didn't like it and far preferred the sound of my custom pipe.  And of course the S10 stock pipe weighs a ton!  One hears far fewer rattles with a loud pipe!  ;D

Do aftermarket slip-on pipes actualy make a difference?

I changed my pipe (slip-on only) specifically to make more noise.  I commute daily through heavy traffic and I firmly believe it makes me more "visible".  I don't get people on mobile phones just changing lanes in front of me any longer! Don't believe I have improved performance though on my...

Not too much road noise would be good!

    Metzeler Karoo 3 Feedback

Guess I'm used to my e-07.  Sitting on 10k now and have estimate quite a bit further to go.  I'll have to do a lot more riding to wear it down quickly, so that I can test a Karoo 3...  :)

So looking at the clip, if I got it right, he's saying half the tyre gone after 5000km's?  That doesn't sound good? WB

Stability at slow / walking speed

So got my S10 back yesterday, after replacing the neck bearings.  The bottom bearing had definitely been hurt and had a slight nick on the left side, which meant that when under load, it would pull a little to the left!  It certainly feels better now, and in fact she even feels more stable on...

Stability at slow / walking speed

Generally looking quite far ahead.  It feels just like getting your wheel into a rut, i.e. like the bike is being pulled and you almost need to pull it "out of the rut again".  Causes a bit of a cold sweat occasionally  :)  Just not convinced it's always due to road surface though.  I can even...

Stability at slow / walking speed

yep, I originally thought it was road surface / crown of the road, but it definitely appears to be feeling worse.  Most of my daily commute is down the center of traffic at low speed, between Randpark Ridge and Bryanston and while it is intermittent , it is quite frequent. Should one be able to...
