Re: Captain Zef's in Michigan USA

ZEF I stayed in Colorado Springs on “training” my Hotel room looked straight out at a “strange mountain” which had lights on a tunnel entrance,Mount Cheyenne, a hollow Granite Mountain, that used to be home to NORAD etc. Built to withstand a direct Nuclear hit and survive. I went up Pikes Peak...

    USA Bike Culture - Choppers

A guy who used to come to our local pub had one of those "Orange County Choppers" style bikes, he went to leave one day and tried to turn in the car park, a bit of sand on the paving and the front wheel tucked in and down he went at about 5km/hr, broken ribs, punctured lung etc, unreal.

    Tail/Brake Light : 98 R 1100 G/S

From memory, if the brake light element (or i guess connection) is bad, the ECU uses the rear light element as the brake light as well.

There are two little spring clips that you rotate and pull out, you can then pop off the linkage and shorten it 👍

    Stupid Question......Overheating

Aircooled engines are a dying breed in the Western World, they take too long to warm up (so the cold emissions are too high) they are "noisy" the LC jackets quieten the motors, so to get performance and meet the regulations LC is the only way, the LC's get bigger each year to keep performance...

    Stupid Question......Overheating

No bigger clearances between piston and bore to allow for a higher temperature range, liquid cooled is more precise, less variable so the clearances can be tighter. Liquid cooled warms up faster (thermostat) so better emissions. Liquid cooled is better for slow high temperatures if the cooling...

Life in America - We made the move.

The on-line recipes talk about two to three days pickling, SWAMBO at least 7 days. And I don’t know if you have a German butcher near you, but this sort of stuff helps with the gravy. 😎

Sorry to hijack Roxenz, do you make Sauerbratten (excuse spelling) Silverside pickled for a week to 10 days in vinegar and water with cloves, bay leaves onion etc, then done in a casserole with a gravy. SWMBO does it with half/half dumplings, red cabbage and sauerkraut 👍
