...and I don't think the later XR600 shock would fit as it has a solid mounted cannister. The earlier XR's had a separate cannister. I assume that is the one you are looking for...

I can order you a very good quality aftermarket disc. Either a solid one or floating. The solid one is around R1500 plus courier The floating disc is a bit more expensive

This is a pic from the website. I would be worried buying a bike from a manufacturer that doesn't even know how to route the front brake line correctly and displays the fact so proudly.
