    Honda crf230 spring.

    I would also check swing arm and linkage bearings. They could be rusted or worn. That results in a lot of friction that can feel like a "stiff" spring.

    I did that race in 1988, when I was 20. Back then there were 1300 starters and 300000 spectators. I was on a KTM300 and ended up some where in the middle of the field.
