Mine too, only with the peaked touring helmet, when i wear the road helmet all is OK! Now i know as well, always thought it was some ingrained dust in the vent system!

ventually got to finish the strip. Takes little knowledge to see the damage  :'( The crank is also stuck, but the conrod does swivel on the journal, so maybe just the debris still stuck inside. Basically the update is a chance to test the market, anyone want a good frame, rims-tyres...

Gents, VaalBaas  and BakgatJaco i received your PM"s in that order and yes, i do have an unused new cradle with wiring and attachments in the box for a 595. However, it just dawned on me, unless its really worth it, i am better off keeping the spare cradle, be it for another bike, my boat etc...

I am heading to CT for Xmas and will buy a cam chain seperator and continue stripping. The kid who rode the bike is 17, he is the farmers son and can ride/drive all things on wheels by virtue of growing up on the farm. But he seriously missed the tell tale signs of overheating until she seized...
