Oily sludge (looks like caramel) and bubbles coming up in the radiator is usually a very strong indication of a blown top gasket.

Yes, you can buy the whole kit from KTM (I paid R1032). It comes with a internal filter and new o-rings too. I had a slight flat spot between 5000 and 7000 rpm, not anymore. Takes 10 minutes to do.

I used to use Toplites/Yuasas in my Stelvio, they usually lasted a year or so. Have had a Motobatt in for 2 years now, still strong. Forgot to add, it definitely cranks stronger better with the Motobatt.
