Little House near the Mairie - My French Farmhouse.

Working my way through this amazing thread. My wife & I lived for 18 months in France, mostly with locals in places similar to Bousseviller all over the place off the beaten track. It was a fantastic experience and the locals are really amazing and friendly. Nothing like going down to the...

Lane splitting is the same as entitled cyclists who think they own the roads

I love lane splitting, have to say. Doing it in Peru was nuts as the cars drive really close to each other there.

Lane splitting is the same as entitled cyclists who think they own the roads

Re lane splitting: Im sure it already been said but just in case - do it at your own risk. Its dangerous to do it if you're riding slower or the same speed at traffic around you. Minimize your time between vehicles or better still, wait until two adjacent vehicles are not immediately next...

Lane splitting is the same as entitled cyclists who think they own the roads

Only if you are riding against the traffic.. ;) Wasn't there a 300 page thread on this somewhere back in 2008? I agree its a very dangerous practice. Those who don't know why should just to a search here. A lot of people have died doing it.

My kleinboet took a tumble in Lesotho.

Ai Rob, I am so sorry to read this news. Though he has gone, it is temporary and not for long because in just a little while we will meet with him again in glory. What an example for all of us: a good and faithful servant.

Was this were we ran the 2016 Amageza?

I was busy reviewing mining companies and came across this one. Trying to work out if this was the valley we entered into on Day 3 after Springbok? Would be really sad if it was...🫤 Never knew there was Uranium there. Note the red spot on the map would be where the mine is, even though...

Shaun Dickens - Bike Sellers Beware

We need to do what we can to bring him to justice of some sort. Post his ID here. Maybe one of us can track him down in the US, Australia, Wellington (NZ, UK, RSA) - where ever he is.

How to license and register an "off road" bike for "road" use on eNatis

So, now that it does not work, what do you do? By the way I fully endorse @JustBendIt if you ever want to buy or sell a car (or bike?). Super efficient, professional, friendly and like bikes to boot!

    Stolen F800GS, Pretoria

The only think I have insured is my car- because I have to. Saved a LOT of money, and looked after my stuff a bit better too.

Biker Down- how does it affect you?

I think its hard not to be affected. Certainly in racing when you come up to a helicopter parked with a guy being loaded and see the bike standing there by itself made most of those I rode with ride slower and more carefully. We are all mortal and how easy it can happen. What affected me...

    Mooses (Honda 300 Rally)

What Burp said. Michelin's are indeed the best, and they work best on a Michelin Desert tyre. I have ridden the tyres bald and the mousses were still good inside. Key thing to avoid is excessive heat buildup. Do not not ride on tar at speeds of over 115km/hr, especially on a hot day. Same for...
