    NOMAD BIKE BAGS.

Also looked at that bag in the link and possibly having one made. Here is the supplier https://www.dirt-bike-gear.com/lfb.html . The tool wrap also seems nice and simple, compared to some of the others that you get. Perhaps OP can say whether he can make one and the estimated price.

    Winterberg Get Together 2018

They dig a hole like that when they lay eggs. After they lay the eggs, they close up the hole again. I have seen that they just dig the hole and not lay, but they usually do lay in the next few days in a new hole.

    TYRE WEAR.... wtH?

+1 on the MC-23 rear. Currently on my second rear and fitted one on my dad's 690. They do have a hard side wall. I run a MT21 up front. Pic of my MC-23 after 6000km next to the new one fitted. Had it on for everything between Atlantis dunes to Tankwa.

KTM 690 love and attention - Done

Just remember that case saver needs to have a guide installed with it. If you do not have one, I recall that it is the one used on a KTM65 chain guide.

Parklands Bush Rides (was once quarry riding) - awesome playpen - be careful of crime and oncoming traffic

That is the old Clay brick MX track. If I remember correctly, that track was closed and then Zone 7 was opened. Back then you could ride all the way onto the hill. Did this several times with my father. Rode the bush, head up the hill, then head back. Used to head into the bush just after...

    Safari tanks brackets

The bottom left bracket that Rascal posted is bent compared to those you get from the tank manufacturers. I do not find the tank unstable without the lower mounts. Admittedly, I only have the tank on when I need it for the extra mileage. The stoppers are there to prevent the tank from pushing...

Removing additional fuel tank KTM 690

Drain the main and aux tank Remove brackets and hose for aux tank Remove seat Remove lower tank bolts and loosen the top tank ones Flip the main tank up and tie it up with a strap to the handlebars (so that it does not fall on your head) Remove the four bolts at the bottom of the tank and pull...

    Safari tanks brackets

Goliath, you do not need to have the two lower mounts on the tank. You need the brace that runs through the motor mount and the top mount bracket. Those bottom brackets are crap to mount. If you want them, you can make the following to keep the sides of the tank pushed away from the bike.

690 cutting out Need Urgent help!!

Turn the spark plug cap off the wire, check the wire for corrosion. If there is corrosion (Copper of the wire is green and looks frail), cut off about 10mm of wire and turn it into the cap again. Try again. Also seal it up with silicone grease so that it cannot get wet again. Swap the...

It is a stainless steel vacuum flask. Only the top surface of the water freezes over night.

Keeping water cold on a long trip

We have found that the cheaper version you get at Marko works just as well as the Atlasware bottle. Just fill with ice and cold water.

    Soft luggage options for XRR

I forgot to add that the bag can press the plastic side panel onto the silencer. To prevent the side panel and silencer from touching each other, there is some plate thing you can buy. Or you can use exhaust sliders. I just made some up using fuel line and wire to tie it. If you google "exhaust...

    Soft luggage options for XRR

Net 'n voorbeeld waarvan ek praat. Die sak wat ek het is van die mark af.

Looking for juicy CT to CT loop

Malgas pont is the ferry crossing. He can cross that on the way to Struisbaai. Just a suggestion for a loop through the park. https://drive.google.com/open?id=1GUHU5obOa5EcAAH_GgQx-bT3xFg&usp=sharing There is a section of road missing on google maps that I know of in the Tankwa park. It shows...

Looking for juicy CT to CT loop

Some places you can look at also including perhaps: Anysberg - Nice route running through and camping facilities seem nice. It is out of the way if you do the 7 passes route. Tankwa tented camp (Site of Afrika burn) - Something different for a foreigner. From their you can head half through...
