peaks on a helmet have nothing to do with glare, they were invented to stop stones and mud hitting you straight in the face at the start of an offroad/mx race. still today you can see riders tilt there head down as the gate drops. you would overheat quickly in a full face offroad,lack of airflow.

there are some great sealants on the market now, while investing in a puncture kit and small compressor is a great idea, adding a sealant to your tyre is also a great preventitive measure.check out a few you tube vids.
