    CRF300L Availibility

There is one Rally and two CRF300L`s on the floor at Honda George (under new management)....R92 000.00 for the "L". I think the Rally is sold. Personally, I think the "L" is preferable, my main objection being the amount of plastic panels on the Rally which look vulnerable , even in a simple off...

Good morning Internet and welcome to the channel - Impungushe the 250L

Love the fact that your NOMAD bag is (unsurprisingly) still in regular use, and presumably your first choice for a trip like this. I`m pretty sure that Quest bag was one of the original single zipper models. Let me see...I may have a double zip model with Quest branding lurking in my garage.

    Nomad Gear Barrel Bags

ROK straps work exceptionally well, as do plain old bungee cord stretchies. If you can find the stretchies that are adjustable, even better.

    Rwanda: info needed.

I am also a believer in a benevolent dictatorship as a form of government, particularly in a largely uneducated population. They are holding elections in the near future and there are other minor parties, but the population favours Kigame, so he must be doing something right.

    Rwanda: info needed.

Chris, my girlfriend is involved in the mining sector, particularly Tungsten, Lithium and other minerals largely related to batteries and the renewable energy sector, but the geology is by all accounts very interesting.

    Rwanda: info needed.

This is what interests me hugely. I am always sceptical of African "success stories"...not because I think they are not possible, but because they are very few and far between. Now the question i always ask is whether the initiatives started, largely by donors and whiteys, are sustainable once...

    Rwanda: info needed.

Fantastic, thanks Martin. Will read it at my leisure tomorrow. Just finished a book by Romao Delaire, the commander of the UN force during the genocide...chilling stuff and highlights the UN, US and French and their part in avoiding decisive action at the time.

    Rwanda: info needed.

My girlfriend is currently travelling to Rwanda for work on a regular basis and was hugely impressed by the country and it`s people. I started reading and researching a bit and am interested in travelling there later this year. There is one operation in Kigali that caters to Adventure riders and...

    CRF 300 L suspension upgrade.

I weigh 76kg and initially found the suspension quite soft, but decided to leave it standard and test it on a variety of terrain. Well we are a year or two down the line and I have kept the standard setup which served me well on a number of trips, including Kaokoland, Richtersveld and Namakwa...

    Turkana Panniers - Any Feedback?

I am always looking critically at what is on the market, and particularly at new products/ designs. They are well made and well designed, with practical considerations paramount. From what I have seen of them and what I know of the designers/ owners, I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

The Unforgiven Trail - and the legends that tamed it

Roan don`t let that hold you back. My suggestion is that you chat to Hardy. He will quickly establish whether you wil be ok. Besides that , my first trip I was virtually a sand riding "virgin"....between time in the saddle and some coaching from the crew, I guarantee your skill level will...
