A day in the workshop ...

No, this motor has been apart and re-assembled without a torque wrench. I posted about a week ago about the head bolt/stud that was stripped out. This is the same bike. I get the feeling that it may have dropped a valve at some stage, quickly repaired and flogged off. Notice the damage on...

    KLE500 Clutch...Phok ek soek raad

Put the bike in gear, pull in the clutch and see whether you can move the bike. If the rear wheel is locked, you have an issue with the clutch. If the rear wheel is free, your issue is elsewhere. I would be with 2SD here. Check your sidestand switch. Or just bypass it for now until the issue...

    Disconnecting the battery

It all depends on how long you leave the battery disconnected. If you are just disconnecting, fitting the new wiring and reconnecting, then all should be good. If you are leaving it disconnected overnight, you may need to get the date reset as you will then get your "Service" warning on the...

    Seen Bike(s) on Facebook

Sadly, that is not a Vespa, despite the fact that he wants a Vespa price for it. I have a client with a paperless genuine Vespa that he is battling to get R15k for.

A classic mini clubman, and time on my hands.

Very clever! Just remember to remove it before cranking the engine over with the starter! 🤪

That R16k gets you the complete kit. New stator, new flywheel (with holes in it), and new sprag clutch. As per the pic below, parts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 7.
