Unless you have a very delicate and very well made bearing puller which can reach into the tiny groove behind the outer races of the steering head bearings you don't really have another option besides the welding machine. The outer races come out easily if you weld a piece of flat bar into them...

The OEM workshop manual has a cross section drawing showing how it's supposed to be fitted. Will check and post which chapter and page.

I don't understand all this "a small engine does not last if you ride it hard" bull. Each and every 125 gets hammered all day and lasts. Even the Chinese ones (well to some degree) I bought a 1980 Honda CB259RS second hand wirth 16,000km on the clock in 1996 and rode it 36,000km in three years...

Does NOT fit. There was a hack to make it fit (modification of tank mount, bolt on, some effort) and you had to modify the seat and seat pan of the SE too. Not worth the effort since Acerbis started making the tanks for the SE.

The older pistons and rings were superseded. You will not be able to buy the earlier pistons and rings any more.

The problem was the required (best suited) steel was not available in SA in the required shape and reasonable quantities. We had to make the discs from second best. Got back some 20% because they warped within a few weeks. The others were fine, No profit at the end of  the day. Congratulations...
