Hi Jonathan. Have you checked the wires on the bottom of the switch? Apparently there is a common problem where the wires are soldered on to the connectors. Dry joints etc.

I agree with you Manic. If those are the O2 sensor eliminators, then he shouldn't be getting a Not Legal code.

I was going to go this route and make one, but instead bought a Screens for bikes screen from Australia. They are very well made and fit by drilling three holes into the headlight plastic screen.

If you google DR650 homemade screens there is quite a lot on the Adventure forum. They use plastic kitchen bins of either black or white to make the screens. They also have all the measurements. I think they mostly use velcro to attach it to the headlight plastic.

Here is another style which I found on BMW G650 Xchallenge FB site. The rear nut must be just missing the sprocket by a hair's breadth.

Looking forward to seeing it. There is just a bend in the metal that might be a bit tricky, but otherwise it looks simple enough.

That shouldn't be a problem to get hold of the rubber KTM piece. It costs R180.00. Part no. 546 07 066 100. Your mate could get you one.
