    Deleting my thread...

...did not delete the origin of the post from which it was copied (re: George Yamaha on facebook) - it's still out there in the public domain. What did the mod achieve by unilaterally wiping an entire thread without so much as a pm to explain the action? Poor form, mate. Anyway, I guess it's...

KLR650: Should I worry about this oil leak?

There's a seal type washer under the cover bolt. They're about 70 bucks each. If you're not going to replace it just check that the bolts are torqued up, not loose. Don't over-tighten, they strip easily. Obviously, check clean it up and check for cracks etc

    Trouser failure

Hi Dawgs Has anyone else experienced chronic failure of this make gear? Bought these rods new from a dealer just over a year ago. After one ride, had to send the things to a tailor to get the velcro adjustment tabs re-stitched, they fell off. They have steadily deteriorated over 12 months to...

Air Filter Maintenance - What is better?

I use No Toil filter oil, comes with a bio-degradable solvent that looks like soap powder. I dissolved the glue on a filter once by using the solvent in hot water, re-glued the filter successfully with bostik fuel-resistant gasket maker. The no-toil solvent is quick, no mess, leaves the filter...

https://www.theoldoilman.co.za/AboutUs.aspx Holy crap...the feller is still around  :laughing4: Used to pay for the old oil. We tossed brake fluid, cleaning paraffin and all sorts of crap into the drums but he had a float system to determine what was usable to him, and paid accordingly

    Help with Lat/Lon please.

N17 W15 would plant you somewhere in Mauritania I think (I've had a couple of pints during the cricket) so that's obviously your panel orientation, not your location. Regardless, the earth's address system and the manner of GPS identification of these unique addresses is easy to understand if...

Wanted - Garmin Quest bike charger.

If you put 12v into a Quest it'll pop. Install a 12v cigarette lighter power socket on the bike, insert a USB charger (50 bucks from Midas), cut an old pc usb cable up - insert one end into the USB charger and solder the other end, red and black wires, to your Quest power cable

    Awesome Emergency Medical Evacuation

Might as well send Danie's number to the bin - he's leaving the program for greener pastures. For the record, the pilot in the picture is Sean, Durban-based. Danie flies (flew) out of Richard's bay. The quickest way to get aeromedical support is to call 10177 and request assistance. The DOH...
